Who We Are
The Raymond & Michael Foundation began as a small organisation with a big heart.
Our founder, Holly-Anne Thompson, has been passionate about cats and dogs her entire life. In 2016, she adopted a dog named Raymond and a kitten named Michael from a local shelter. Inspired by her love for these pets, she began to give as much as she could privately to animal shelters.
In 2022, Holly ran a donation drive amongst family and friends to collect blankets for shelter pets. The drive started out small, but in weeks, she had teamed up with Jaymee and Sihle, and the word had spread from Pretoria to Cape Town, and people from all over the country were giving.
The Impact We’ve Had
Since our inception, we've made significant strides in improving the lives of shelter animals. Last year, we collected 626 blankets, distributed them to more than 7 organisations, and collected 93 tins of dog and cat food, 17kg of pellets, toys, tick and flea medicines, jerseys, pee mats, leashes, and shampoos! We also had four animals adopted when volunteers and donors found them through the donation drive. We're proud of our achievements and are committed to continuing our work for the welfare of animals.

Our Vision & Mission
Our mission is to improve the lives of cats and dogs in animal shelters across South Africa by providing financial support and collecting donations to meet their basic needs. We also strive to raise awareness about animal welfare issues and promote responsible pet ownership.
Our vision is to build a world where all animals are treated with compassion and respect, and every animal in a shelter has access to the care and support they need to live a happy and healthy life.
